Yesterday we went to the zoo for the first time with Collin. Collin can now say he has been to the only mountain zoo in America. Our adventure started off great with some clouds that soon tapered off then was 77 degrees and very sunny. Collin was good the first ten minutes or so then he became a little fussy, so I put him in the Baby Bjorn which he soon fell right to sleep in. Grandma and I walked all around and got to see all of our favorite animals. Grandma got to see her Elephants which see wasn't able to see on her field trip with her preschools, so that was our first stop and saw the Giraffes on the way there.
So the funny thing about taking pictures with monkeys is that you never really know what they are going to do in the photos. We went to the primate exhibit to see more monkeys and the baby Orangutan that was just born two months ago. Well we got to the gorillas and this one was showing everyone the finger and I wanted a picture of it but when I sat down to take the picture he changed his hand back and put his other hand on the glass where my back was. So sweet and precious. Then after we were done with the picture he moved his hand back and showed his finger to everyone again so I got that one for Iain!
After that we were kinda done with walking up and down the hills and ready to call it a day. As we were walking around we saw a lot of little babies have these cute hats on and so we wanted to get one for Collin so he can have a souvenir. We found one and then we had to get it hope you can see why! He just pulls it off wonderfully!
